Trichloroethylene (TCE) is a halocarbon with the formula C2HCl3, commonly used as an industrial metal degreasing solvent. It is a clear, colourless, non-flammable, volatile liquid with a chloroform-like pleasant mild smell and sweet taste.Its IUPAC name is trichloroethene. Trichloroethylene has been sold under a variety of trade names. Industrial abbreviations include TCE, trichlor, Trike, Tricky and tri. Under the trade names Trimar and Trilene, it was used as a volatile anestheticand as an inhaled obstetrical analgesic. It should not be confused with the similar 1,1,1-trichloroethane, which was commonly known as chlorothene.

Trichloroethylene mainly used as a solvent, it can also be used for degreasing, freezing, pesticides, fragrances, rubber industry, washing fabrics, etc.
Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse.
Stay away from sources of fire and heat.
The storage temperature shall not exceed 25 ºC, and the relative humidity shall not exceed 75%.
The packaging requires sealing and must not come into contact with air.
It should be stored separately from oxidants, reducing agents, alkalis, metal powders, and edible chemicals, and avoid mixing storage.
Not suitable for large-scale storage or long-term storage.
Equip with corresponding types and quantities of fire-fighting equipment.
The storage area should be equipped with emergency response equipment for leaks and suitable containment materials.
